Zermatt Snow Report 09/04/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Zermatt

There is 230cm of snow at the top of the Zermatt ski area with 20cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 8th April with around 15cm falling.

There are 100% of pistes open in the Zermatt ski area with 64% ski lifts open.

Within the next few days we are expecting sunshine and scattered showers of snow. Temperatures up the mountain are forecast up to 8 degrees.

Once again this week the snow conditions have been perfect, with over
12cm of snow fall last night. This means that the off piste runs are still of a
high quality. Why not try and find that fresh powder with your friends and
family, you will certainly not regret it. In relation to the snow conditions in
Cervinia they are also perfect. Guests have told me that there was still a lot
of fresh powder on the sides of the piste even in the afternoon. This is an
opportunity not to be missed. If you have not yet upgraded your pass this can
be done at any lift pass station for just 41 Swiss Francs per day!! Considering
it is the getting very close to the end of the season, there are no excuses for
not booking a last minute ski holiday if you want great ski conditions!

From the 9th of April to the 13th Zermatt is presenting the festival Zermatt unplugged. This event includes various live bands such as Stefanie Heinzmann, Die Fantastischen Vier and Brian Ferry. Some of these bands are actually for free, other tickets are available from the ticket stands in town. This event is a success every year, something which should not be missed!
