Zermatt Snow Report 05/04/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Zermatt

There is 270cm of snow at the top of the Zermatt ski area with 27cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  30th March with around 5cm falling.

There are 100% of pistes open in the Zermatt ski area with 64% ski lifts open.

Overcast conditions over the last couple days have brought yet another 10 cms of new snow on the mountain. Although on piste conditions down in the valley can be described as ‘sugar snow’, the vast majority of runs in resort are still as perfect as they have been all season. Our new guest arrivals are set to wake on Sunday to stunning spring skiing with blue skies dominating, only to be broken by the dominant presence of the Matterhorn. After a fabulous day skiing and a little foray into our famous après bars. I’ve no doubt guests will be jumping to the live music sounds bouncing off the valley from what will be the event of the season, ‘Zermatt Unplugged’. That is unless they’ve chosen to explore the surrounding stunning mountains by paraglider!
