The picturesque snow-capped village of Val Thorens is truly a sight to behold today. After two full days and nights of heavy unadulterated snow fall, it is a destination snow haven for all the powder seekers out there. Most runs above 2000m boast waist deep off piste skiing with runs even down to Saint Martin dusted with a thicker layer of fresh snow. The forecast is set to deliver even more delicious powder today with conditions clearing Wednesday and Thursday for two days of pure sunshine. Fortunately, the snow quality will remain exceptional as temperatures will consistently range between -10 and -15 degree celcius. A free giant air bag has been constructed at Rond Point des pistes for those daring enough to perfect their freestyle technique. Proneige are hosting the event, so come on down for chocolat chaud and mulled wine.
