Tignes Snow Report, 30 Mar 2010

Tignes TownThere is195cms at the top of the Grande Motte and 110cms on Tignes’ lower slopes but increasing all the time as it is snowing NOW!

The snow depth speaks for itself. Increasing over a foot since the last snow blog! At this time of year, that is truly a miracle. The slopes are as they were at the start of the season and the off piste is still light and fluffy.

Yesterday whilst some snow was coming down, we headed down to Les Breviere, where the snow is still thickly layered and great for skiing on, especially in low light when the clouds settle in. After which we headed over to Val Claret, and then to top off before lunch we headed down trolles, which was as smooth as can be, and great for tucking down as early as you dare!

Plenty of snow coming down today with lower temperatures and minimal winds will undoubtedly give a fresh twist to the on and off piste, with it clearing up through Wednesday and Thursday finally bright sunshine to top off the day!

Loop bar had what has now become the standard Monday night act, of Dr. Bruce playing last night. This once again got the bar filled with people and in particular pub quizzers who finished the quiz and moved on to Loop to continue the party!
