Tignes Snow Report, 05 March 2010

Skier in fresh powderThere is a whopping 200cm snow depth at the top of the Grande Motte and

128cm on the lower Tigne runs.

As if Tignes needs it, the already phenomenal amount of snow continues to be topped up giving Tignes unquestionably the best snow in the whole of the Alps.

Rocks? What rocks? Worry not about scratching the bases of your skis, most people in Tignes have forgotten what rocks look like! The temperatures are also perfect for maintaining the snow levels and the piste conditions. Allowing perfectly for the piste bashers to take full advantage of their ability to smooth out the runs, creating out of this world corduroy.

The snow had a fresh top up last night, and was freshly bashed this morning. Off piste will be fresh and fluffy, on piste will be sun soaked and heavenly. Ski hosting today will take our guests all over the mountain for an amazing day charging through the Val d’Isère and Tignes slopes. A top up of snow on Sunday will welcome perfect conditions for another sunny Monday!

It’s been said before, and it’ll be said again, X-Games are literally just around the corner. Tension in resort mounts as completion of the slope style course, big air kicker and half pipe come to an end. The sponsorship tents are up and ready in the Val Claret main square, giving away freebies galore! Anticipation as we await the10th of March.
