St Anton snow report 25.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in St Anton.

There is 180cm of snow at the top of the St Anton ski area with 60cm of snow in resort. There was a good fall of snow yesterday in resort too.

65 of the 66 runs are open with 37 of the 38 St Anton lifts open also.

With 10 cm of snow expected from Saturday night over into Sunday morning, the pistes will once again be layered with fresh snow and your skis will be carving perfectly. With temperatures on the rise, with highs of minus two and both Sunday and Wednesday promising bright blue and cloudless skies, what more can a skier ask for?

Despite a slightly cloudy start to the week, the sun broke through by Wednesday and we have been enjoying unparalleled skiing conditions and views. This has proved the perfect week to visit the top of the Valluga, and take in the stunning Alpine beauty St Anton has to offer. With everyone’s goggle-tans gaining strength, we are now looking forward to the fresh snow next week is going to bring.

With the ski show now in full swing every Wednesday why not pop down to the stadium where visitors can experience a multi-media time travel show through the history of skiing, followed by a demonstration from the ski instructors down the world cup run and topped of with a spectacular fire works display. This Saturday is Australia day so make sure to head down to Krazy Kangaroo where the party is sure to be in full swing.
