St Anton Snow Report 13/02/2017

The weather has been absolutely fantastic over the last few days, with sunshine and blue skies making an appearance. After a few days of clouds and low visibility, this has been extremely welcomed by guests, and everyone has been really enjoying the conditions. The skiing is highly enjoyable at the moment, the snow coverage remains good, the pistes are well groomed, and pretty much all of the Arlberg area is open. This lovely sunshine means that the mountain restaurants with outdoor seating are particularly enjoyable – so guests should be sure to stop for lunch (or even a hot chocolate or a beer!) at one of the many slope-side restaurants that offer outdoor seating or even deckchairs. One particularly popular spot is Rendl Beach, where you can sit and relax while watching the freestylers in the park. Alternatively, if you want to make the most of the lovely skiing over in Zurs and Lech, you can head to the Trittalm restaurant or the Restaurant Shlegelkopf, both of which offer delicious food with amazing views and outdoor areas to soak up the sunshine.

The forecast for this week is bright and sunny, with the clear blue skies we have seen in the last few days continuing throughout the week. The temperatures will remain quite warm for this time of the year, with highs of 7 degrees and lows of -6. From Friday, weather conditions will become slightly more varied, and there is a dusting of fresh snow forecast for the weekend, with around 7cm expected over Friday night/Saturday morning. Next week there is the possibility of more snow as the clouds draw in over the weekend.
