St Anton Snow Report, 07 Dec 2010

Snow Boarder in St AntonThere is a superb snow depth already of 125cm at the top of the Valluga with 35cm in resort. And a further 10cm of new snow fell yesterday.

With a ridiculous amount of snow forecast for the latter part of this week, snow conditions will only improve. This is fantastic news for the powder enthusiasts out there who can already enjoy the abundance of powder out on the mountain. There is an estimated 70cm of snow to fall by the end of this week. The news only gets better with the estimated freezing level set to be well below the valley from Thursday onwards.

There will be a radical amount of powder from Thursday until Sunday. With the highest freezing level estimated to be 890m high. St. Anton doesn’t need more snow but we certainly aren’t going to complain.

The 21st and 22nd of December have St. Anton’s very own freeski 6-cross event just by the Galzigbahn. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only watch an upcoming sport but to see the famous Daron Rahlves in person.
