Solden Snow Report 28/02/2017

Good conditions on slopes and off-piste conditions are improving with every new snow fall especially on glazier. Resort will get quieter after this week when half term holiday are over.

Forecast:
After a cold front, signalling the end of the föhn wind, will have passed, a continuously windy, westerly air stream will determine the weather on Wednesday and on Thursday. Further weak extensions of unsettled conditions will bring at most some showers. The snow line will range between 1000 and 1600 m. The sun will just temporarily shine, particularly throughout the course of Thursday. The air stream over the Alps will increasingly turn southward on Friday. A strong southerly föhn wind will approach from the mountains. A föhn storm is expected in the mountains on Saturday. Whereby dry conditions will still prevail on Friday, humid southerly accumulations will determine the weather along the main Alpine ridge at the weekend. In the north of it the föhn wind will result in mostly dry weather conditions. Rather mild conditions are generally forecast.
