Solden Snow Report 19/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Solden
There is 249cm of snow at the top of the Solden ski area with 25cm in resort. There is a light dusting of snow forecast in Solden for today.
All 40 of the ski runs are open in the Solden ski area along with 31 of the 35 ski lifts.
The sun has been shining for the past couple of days, and this morning it looks like another glorious day! However, the clouds are forecast to build up throughout the day, eventually bringing some snow showers later on. This is to get heavier overnight, bringing 4cm of snow! Tomorrow, the snowy weather is sticking around, bringing light snow and this is set to continue throughout Thursday and into Friday.
The busy week last week has left the slopes a little icy and lumpy, but the fresh snow forecast for the next couple of days will sort this out! The slopes are a little quieter this week which will be better for the snow as well. The wall to wall sunshine yesterday and today has made up for challenging snow, and the sun terraces are proving very popular! Temperatures are rather cool in the shade, but in the sunshine it feels like a good 5 to 10 degrees warmer – so remember the sun cream!!
At Phillip’s Bar, Tuesday is the over 30s ‘New Generation’ party. From 7pm and for something completely different, try SnowRock a little later, where it is ‘Havananight’, with latin and reggae beats to chill out to. Wednesday is the Maxxx Mountain Night Ski Show in Soelden, kicking off at 7:30pm with musical entertainment from the Alpentornados – a local traditional trio from the Oetztal. The night skiing is on floodlit Red 10 from 5:30pm until 9:30pm – an unique experience if you haven’t done it before!!
