Selva Snow Report 12/01/2016

It has been snowing all night here in Selva! It’s -4 degrees here at the moment but temperatures are expected to drop to -9 degrees on Wednesday so lots of great skiing opportunities this week. On Thursday the weekly ice hockey match will be held – Hockey Club Gherdeina will be playing against HC Val Pusteria the Pranives stadium and it’s definitely not one to be missed!

Forecast: Here in resort we now have 77 out of 78 lifts open and the Sella Ronda is open in both directions, even though there has not been an enormous amount of natural snow since the start of the season, the slopes are extremely well prepared thanks to the snow cannons working hard! Down in the town there has been 10cm of fresh snow and up in the mountains there has been 40cm of fresh powder. The off piste snow is still limited but the conditions on the piste are brilliant. More snow is expected throughout the week.
