Obergurgl Snow Report 23 Mar 2012

Obergurgl, AustriaGreat snow cover in this high altitude resort with 170cm on the upper slopes and 100cm at resort level.

Since the snow earlier in the week we’ve had a run of very warm weather again, although not as warm as the week before! With the nighttime temperatures getting down comfortably below freezing still it means that morning conditions all over the mountain are fantastic for the faster, more aggressive skiers; the speed demons and carving maestros!

The afternoons, however, are perfect for those looking to work on their goggle-tan! Snow conditions soften up and become much more beginner friendly and the sun stays on the majority of the resort’s pistes well into the evening making for very pleasant runs down from the on-mountain après-ski bars.

Weather forecast for next 3 days is for sun and lots of it!
