Obergurgl Snow Report, 14 Apr 2010
Ski conditions throughout Obergurgl and Hochgurgl are currently good. All runs are open and it’s still possible to ski right to the bottom of the mountain and back to the village.
With the colder weather over the last few days, the best snow at the top of the mountain has been well preserved and red run 16 (from the top of the Hohe Mut) and black run 27 (from the Top Mountain Star) continue to be two of the best runs and the best snow this resort has to offer.
This morning looks to be sunny and clear, with the occasional clouds passing overhead. Throughout the day these clouds are expected to increase and around a centimetre of fresh snow is expected to fall in the afternoon. Light snow showers are forecast to continue overnight. The next couple of days should continue in a similar pattern, with sun expected in the mornings and light snow showers forecast for the afternoons. Wind speeds should be light over the coming days and temperatures will be colder today and tomorrow (with a minimum of minus 13 expected on Wednesday evening) and gradually increase to just above freezing over the following days.
If you want a traditional evening of entertainment, then you should look no further that David’s Hutte. Accessible by a 20 minute walk from the village or a short taxi ride, the hut puts on an evening that you’re guaranteed never to forget! Whether you go for the platters of ribs, the dumpling, the live music, the dancing or the traditional songs and costumes, there’s certainly something about this place that is unforgettable!
