Obergurgl Snow Report 02/04/2017

We are very lucky this late in the season. At 1830m, Obergurgl is one of the few resorts that can still boast skiing to the village. All runs down to resort level are still open and perfectly skiable. Conditions on the upper slopes are still very good, and with more snow forecast this week, we can look forward to skiing in some fresh powder!

Despite the warm spring conditions last week, this week is forecast to be much colder, with snow falling throughout the week.

15cm of snow is predicted on the mountain on Monday night, with a further 21cm forecast in the latter half of the week.

Sunday and Monday will be relatively warm with temperatures on the mountain ranging from 0 to 2 degrees centigrade in the day. As the week progresses, daytime mountain temperatures will drop to -5 centigrade.

This is excellent news, as the snowfall will top up what we already have, and the colder temperatures will help preserve it until the end of the season!

If you fancy an outdoor lunch in the village, you will be basking in temperatures of up to 9C on the terraces of bars, restaurants and hotels.
