New for Winter 2017/18 in our Chalets
This summer has given us the opportunity to review our guests comments, feedback and suggestions regarding the different catering options on offer for next season. The conclusion is that ‘evolution, not revolution’ is what is being asked for, so we have taken on board the most frequent themes being raised, and made the following tweaks to our food & drink service for Winter 17/18.
A theme suggested is that you feel canapés in chalets are seen as “a bit old-fashioned” by some, whilst others have noted that smaller chalets with open—plan living/dining areas don’t always deliver as the best space to serve aperitifs and canapés.
We have also noted your preference on the customary chalet aperitifs like ‘Kir’ and related ‘wine + flavouring’ drinks being served and that many guests would prefer something “a little classier”, as one guest put it.
Therefore fore the Winter 2017/18 season on wards in all our chalets, we will leave out the canapés, and instead upgrade the aperitif to a glass of Prosecco every evening before dinner, to whet your appetite for our 3-course evening meals, comprising a starter, main course and dessert.
Our praised Xtra Chalet range is growing again next Winter. The Sonneck in Lech, the Champs Avalin in Val d’Isère and the Xtra Chalet de Verbier in Verbier will be joining this range of property, blending both the chalet and Chalet Hotel full-service.
The food and beverage service in these Xtra chalets will consist of four courses; a Prosecco apéritif served with canapés, a set appetiser and main course followed by your fourth course which will be a choice of dessert or cheese.

*(On your Host’s one day off each week, they will leave a simpler continental breakfast out for you to help yourselves, there is no afternoon tea that day, and you can dine out locally in the evening. Your Resort Representative will gladly help out with information and make a reservation for you if you wish.)
