Meribel Snow Report 12/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Meribel

The snow depth at the top of the ski area at Meribel is 229cm and in resort there is 130cm on the home runs. It last snowed on 12/02/2013 with 5cm.

95% of the ski runs are open here in Meribel with 40 of the 42 ski lifts open also.

Ski conditions at the moment are still amazing, with the snow flurries continuing to mask the pistes in a layer of fresh powder snow the skiing is excellent. Off and on piste skiers and boarders will have perfect conditions, just remember to wear goggles!

The weather over the next few days is due to be: Today: Today we have 1cm of snow expected with max temperatures of  -9 degrees. Will be overcast all day.

Wednesday: We are expecting a completely blue sky day with temperatures getting a little colder at -10 degrees.

Thursday: Another blue sky day with temperatures reaching a slightly higher -4 degrees, so suncream and sunglasses a must!

This week in resort preparations have begun for the best nightlife orientation we have had so far this season. With the interest mounting and the bars ready, it should prove to be the night to remember this week. Wednesday brings us the Raclette night at the Meribar, with gorgeous melting cheese, the velvet tones of the acoustic guitar serenading guests in the background, it certainly is the perfect evening. We are now halfway through the season here in Meribel, and all the staff are trying not to think about the time they will have to go home, we are going to enjoy it to the last!
