Les Gets Snow Report, 10 Dec 2010
The skies in Les Gets have opened, not with snow but a bright beautiful blue canvas. The top of Ranfoilly and high points of Morzine welcome perfect skiing conditions and the snow machines further down are keeping the piste glazed for the 18th when the area officially opens.
Down in the village the snow has melted off the roads and pavement making it much easier to walk and commute around. The bountiful rays are not to last however with snow forecast to fall at the end of the week, anticipating for the best start of the season one could ask for.
Weather forecast for next 3 days is that it will be sunny but cold.
There is the newly built Chavannes boarder – cross run, giving riders the opportunity to trace Déborah Anthonioz’s Vancouver Olympic silver medal winning run. Déborah will be there at special times of the season! More to come…
