Les Gets Snow Report, 06 Apr 2010

SkierAt the highest point of Les Gets (2002m) there is currently 150cm of snow.

The amount of snow at 1172m is 60cm.

The sunny weather has made for very enjoyable skiing so far this week and with more sunshine due the week ahead looks good.  There will be a small snow fall on Wednesday and light snow on Thursday.  With temperatures dropping in the evening to about -1C the snow will be kept in good condition.

A particularly good run is the lovely cruising blue “Choucas” which weaves in and out of the trees and connects Les Gets to Morzine.

The slopes have continued to stay relatively quiet this Easter break meaning very enjoyable skiing with little queues at the lifts.  Les Gets has been festively decorated with yellow ribbons, Easter chicks and lights for the Easter holiday.  The feel of spring is defiantly in the air.

Today is set to be clear and sunny throughout with temperatures rising to a max of 8C.  Tomorrow is looking to be cloudy with light snow fall at the top (2002m), a total of 4cm.  Thursday will be cloudy with light snow.  Friday will bring more sunshine with temperatures of around 4C.
