Les Deux Alpes Snow Report 07.01.2014

Les Deux Alpes
We woke up on Sunday morning to 30cm of beautiful white snow in resort. A magical start to January! The slopes are now full of powder and the slopes have emptied with the Christmas holiday-makers having gone home. Despite only 31 lifts running, most pistes are open so we have lots of choice of where to ski. Vallee Blanche is now open which is offering some challenging red runs for more advanced skiers and the conditions at the top of the glacier at 3200-3600m are ideal for beginners and intermediates finding their feet at the start of this week. The best run this week has to be Thuit 2. You feel like you are the only person cruising down the mountain with incredible views in front of you!
Forecast: For the rest of the week we are due warm temperatures of around 4 degrees in resort and -1 to -5 on the mountain. We are due a little bit of cloud but much sunshine coming through! A great week ahead!
