Les Arcs Snow Report 19/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs

There is 275cm of snow at the top of the Les Arcs ski area with 126cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on Friday with 5cm of fresh snow falling.

105 of the 107 pistes are open in the Les Arcs ski area with all 51 of the ski lifts also open.

Glorious blue skies have been the scene in Les Arcs for the last 3 days. This has followed from a large amount of snow falling throughout the previous week and a half meaning conditions at the moment are nothing short of perfect. The temperature is such that the snow is still fantastic all the way down to the lowest slopes.

These blue skies are set to continue through to Thursday at which point a moderate fall of snow is forecast and temperatures to plummet giving the promise of some fresh new powder once again.

Currently sitting right in mid-season, Les Arcs can reflect on a great first half of the season and a great start to the latter half.  The excitement is almost tangible as to what February, March and April have in store.

Snow forecast for the next 3 days:

Tuesday: Highs of -5°C and lows of -7°C clear skies

Wednesday: Highs of -5°C and lows of -10°C clear skies

Thursday: Highs of -10°C and lows of -13°C mostly dry
