The latest snow report from our team in Les Arcs
There is a colossal 300cm of snow at the top of the ski area with 70cm down in the resort of Les Arcs. The last snow fell on Saturday with 35cm falling.
The Snow forecast for the next 3 days is Saturday: Highs of -3°C and lows of -8°C with moderate snow showers (15cm expected), Sunday: Highs of -5°C and lows of -7°C with moderate snow showers (9cm expected), Monday: Highs of -6°C and lows of -9°C with heavy snow showers (16cm expected).
Skis are being waxed, edges are being tuned, which means opening day is almost upon us. The pistes are fresh and well groomed following the large snowfalls Les Arcs has received pre-season. These heavy snow falls have ensured an excellent base depth of 300cm for the start of the season which has set the ski area up for a fantastic winter.
The weather outlook for the first week is sure to put a smile on the faces of those guests who are making the journey to Les Arcs this weekend. There is over half a metre of fresh snow expected to fall in Les Arcs between today and Monday, with the Sun making a return in the latter half of the week, which should create near perfect skiing conditions.
