Les Arcs Snow Report, 06 Apr 2010

Les ArcsThe snow depth is 215cm at 3300m on the Aiguille Rouge, with135cm at 1500m.

20cms of snow over the weekend have freshened up all the slopes and cold weather has seen a return to fantastic skiing conditions. On runs above 2000m, the snow is as crisp as if it were January. On lower south facing slopes, the conditions are more spring like, but coverage is excellent! It’s a perfect bluebird day outside, time to hit the slopes for ski hosting!!

The forecast for the next few days is for snow showers over the next day or so and then light snow, with the sun only making a brief appearance.  This week looks to be mainly cloudy, which might not give you a goggle tan but will keep the slopes in pristine condition.

Easter has arrived and with it the school holidays! The resort is buzzing with activity and excitement and the big event today is the Easter face painting extravaganza taking place in 1950. I’m off to have a lion painted on me…hurrah!
