Lech Snow Reports, 12 Mar 2010

Horse and Carriage in LechUp on the Steinmahd at 2300m the snow base is 170 cm and on Lech’s local slopes the base reached 100 cm, with 10 cm of fresh snow falling yesterday.

The new snow that fell yesterday coupled with the low temperatures now being experienced has left the pistes in an absolutely fantastic condition.  It has also refreshed the unpisted diamond ski trails that can be found throughout the region to offer a challenge to the more adventurous skier.

A fantastic varieties of terrain is available on the 255km of pisted slopes. The runs above Zurs continue to offer some of the best snow conditions in the area with red 14 and the diamond trail that runs off it offering great skiing.

Today has started bright with beautiful clear skies and cold temperatures.  The day is forecast to remain bright.  Tomorrow (Saturday) cloud is forecast to move in with light snow showers.  Winds are expected to be light from the west.  Sunday is expected to be overcast with some light snow in the afternoon and overnight giving around 5 cm of new snow. Temperatures will remain low.
