Lech Snow Reports, 09 Apr 2010

Couple SledgingUp on the Steinmahd, at 2,300m there is a snow depth of 200 cm and on the local Lech slopes the base is about 80 cm deep.

The spring like conditions still present skiers with ample opportunity to experience great skiing on all the pistes in Lech & Zurs. The best conditions are to be found in the hours before the sun warms too much. The views of the Arlberg mountain range as you ski in the spring sunshine are superb and worth taking time to enjoy.

The best skiing continues to be that on the Zursersee side of the mountains in Zurs and the White Ring Circuit is open to tempt those who want to complete the 22km circuit.

Skiing conditions here are best in the mornings but remain good throughout the day as this slope is north facing.

Easily reached via the Rufikopf lift in Lech, Zurs offers uncrowded wide open pistes.

Friday is predicted to be another sunny day with warming sunshine and no clouds. Saturday sees a slight change with some cloud building until a light fall of snow is expected on Sunday. Monday will continue to see some clouds before the sun returns on Tuesday. Winds generally light and freeze-thaw conditions will persist

On Friday to celebrate Spring Musicians Day  Folk music will be played at different times throughout the day at eight different venues throughout the village.
