Lech Snow Report, 10 Dec 2010

LechThe snow depth at the top of the ski area, the Steinmahd, is well over a metre with 120cm and in the village itself there’s up to 55cm.

Yesterday’s heavy snowfall has resulted in perfectly fresh powder and newly groomed runs, making it a great day for exploring the mountain. This snow is also helping to create a fantastic base for a long season of great snow on the slopes of the Arlberg. The wide blues into Lech are especially enjoyable with the views of the village under snow, getting us in the mood for Christmas!

Light snow is forecast for the next few days, with a large amount expected on Saturday, just in time for our first guests of the season! Sunday will be a sunny day, and temperatures are forecast to fall well into the minus 20s, so bring plenty of warm clothing!

We’re looking forward to the FIS Men’s slalom on the 17th, organised by the Ski Club Arlberg, which should be a great opportunity to see some experts at work!
