Lech Snow Report 08/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech

There is 250cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 120cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  24th Feb with around 5cm falling.

There are 90% of pistes open in the Lech ski area with 67 out of 68 ski lifts open.

The weekend is expecting a considerable amount of precipitation – with the temperatures still quite high, this may mean snow on top of the mountain, but possible rain in the village. As the temperatures lower towards Tuesday, more snow is expected everywhere.

Spring has officially arrived in the Arlberg! Lech has been transformed into a fantastically beautiful arena of endless blue skies as the seasons change and the layers come off for some people’s favourite time of the season. These sunny days are still welcomed with perfectly groomed pistes in the morning, enabling us to still enjoy great snow in the best surroundings. I can safely say that there is nowhere better to be at this time of year!

Saturday 9th – Monday 11th March: ‘The Importance of Sommelier’ Lech is hosting two days of tasting and discussion on the future of Winemaking and Wine Communication. Come and learn about the profession that has been so essential to pair our excellent wines with our delicious foods!

Wednesday 13th March – Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. You will be accompanied on skis to visit a cable-car installation, a snow-grooming vehicle and a snow-making facility.
