Lech Snow Report 01/03/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Lech

There is 280cm of snow at the top of the Lech ski area with 145cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on  20th Feb with around 5cm falling.

There are 96% of pistes open in the Lech ski area with 68 out of 68 ski lifts open.

Sun, Sun and Sun! Temperatures staying between -7 and -10 so the snow is set to stay with us in great condition.

It’s that time in the winter season that we all begin to swap the goggles for sunglasses, the restaurants pull out deck chairs onto their sun terraces, and we are constantly drawing the curtains in the morning to find the most amazing sights. The sun has officially announced the beginning of Spring in the Arlberg region and it is warmly welcomed by all of us! Along with a fantastic dump of snow that has accumulated over the past few weeks here, the pistes are in perfect condition, pristinely groomed by the piste bashers and ready everyday for the Ski Total guests to explore every inch of what Lech has to offer.

Tuesday 5th March  – Torch Ski Show Lech! Come and join us watch the spectacular event organised by the Ski Schools of Lech this Tuesday evening. All kicks off at 21:30 where you will see ski demonstrations, piste bashers dancing and a fantastic firework display to conclude the night. Don’t miss out!

Wednesday 6th March– Lech ski lifts discovery tour! Between 15:00 and 17:00 at the Weibermahdbahn you can learn first-hand about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a working ski-lift. You will be accompanied on skis to visit a cable-car installation, a snow-grooming vehicle and a snow-making facility.
