Ischgl Snow Report 23 Mar 2012

Ischgl, AustriaThe weather is absolutely stunning and the snow depth at the Idalp os 200cm and runs down to resort have 60cm.
Guests this week cannot believe their luck, as the dump of snow we received on the first day has sustained us through a week of glorious sunshine.  The bashers have been hard at work and now the slopes are in peak condition (if you’ll pardon the pun)!  Over on the Alp Trida side all the runs of N2 are nice and empty, and with a little hiking there is still some incredible powder to be found down to Samnaun.  The red 40s have some real zoom on them and as usual the black 30s are the best on the mountain.  The warm weather means that the park is gorgeous – softer snow equals softer landings, and best of all there are deck chairs all over the place so you can top up your tan as well as getting your skiing on!
Some light snow showers will begin this afternoon and last throughout the weekend, with just enough snowfall forecast to top up the pistes in time for the cracking week of warm sunshine due to begin on Monday.
Tomorrow night Boy George is coming to Ischgl!  He’ll be performing in the Trofana Arena and it promises to be spectacular!
