Ischgl Snow Report 15/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl

There is 160cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with around 50cm in resort. The last snowfall was on Tuesday when 10cm of fresh snow fell.

234km of the ski runs in Ischgl are open today with all 43 of the ski lifts also open

After the cold front has passed through the region, the weather conditions will slowly improve throughout the course of the weekend. On Saturday, clouds will frequently block out the sun and bring scattered snow showers along the mountain ranges. Longer sunny spells are forecast for Sunday, though clouds are expected, too. Starting next week, bright sunshine and clear skies are forecast. These nice conditions will continue on into Tuesday. From Wednesday on, the influence of a low-pressure area will increase, the weather character will become more variable. Wintry cold temperatures are generally forecast.

With the large amount of snowfall we have had for the past week there is plenty of fresh powder on the slopes. The ski conditions are excellent  Make sure you wrap up warm as temperatures have slightly dropped. Why not stop for a hot chocolate on one of Ischgl’s popular bars in the mountain to help warm you up throughout the day.

Why not try tobogganing on the 18th also for some interesting knowledge why not check out Ischgl’s museum it is open on 20th February you will be able to look at things such as the first ever ski lifts used and vintage ski’s used and lots more. The children during half term will love it. There is also a Jazz band playing in the Silvretta centre on Wednesday 13th. Also don’t forget to run the 40’s which are great if you fancy a bit of duty free shopping. The conditions are great at the moment so don’t miss out.
