Ischgl snow report 15.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl.

There is 150cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area with 60cm in resort. There was 5cm of snow that fell yesterday.

There are 222km of runs are open and all 43 lifts are open and working.

This low-pressure area will only marginally cross our regions, subsequently larger amounts of new snow are not expected throughout the upcoming days. Despite that, thick, partly low stratus clouds and freezing temperatures will determine the weather. The sun will get a chance, but not before Friday. Then, a brief period of high-pressure will determine the weather, though a longer period of improved conditions is not expected. On the contrary, air masses bringing larger amounts of clouds will soon approach from the west. The chilly temperatures will slightly increase.

The temperatures have slightly dropped but the sun will start creeping through the blanket of clouds making the ski conditions and atmosphere really enjoyable. There is plenty of powder on the slopes and the piste is in great condition. Predicted snow showers over the next 2 days so make sure you wrap up warm and take your google up the mountain. Again our favourite runs are the ‘40’s’ which all have the best snow conditions this time of year and is near to our famous duty free run. Both the home runs are fully functional essential when you want to go to the après ski.
