Ischgl snow report 11.01.2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Ischgl

There is 150cm of snow at the top of the Ischgl ski area and 60cm in resort. The last snowfall was 10cm on the 6th January.

There are 211km’s of pistes open with 38 of the 43 lifts open and serving the Ischgl ski area.

Wintry weather conditions are forecast for the upcoming days. Low temperatures will bring small amounts of snow time and time again. Periods of calm and sunny conditions are temporarily expected too. A detailed forecast cannot be given yet, this will particularly concern the expected snowfalls. It seems certain, though, that the weather conditions will remain unpredictable.

The temperatures are set to drop from today onwards but the sun will start to creep through the blanket of clouds making the ski conditions and atmosphere really enjoyable. There is plenty of powder on the slopes and the piste is in great condition. Predicted snow showers over the next 2 days so make sure you wrap up warm and take your goggles up the mountain. Again our favourite runs are the ‘40’s’ which all have the best snow conditions this time of year and is near to our famous duty free run. Both the home runs are fully functional essential when you want to go to the après ski.

On the 7th Jan Ischgl’s famous ‘Shapes In White’ began so do not miss out on the magnificent ice sculptures over the mountain as they all should be finished by now.
