Avoriaz Snow Report, 30 Mar 2010

Avoriaz TownThe upper slopes of the Portes du Soleil have a snow base of 240cm whilst close tot our chalet the depth is 160cm.

The ski conditions at the moment are excellent having had a large snowfall over the weekend the pistes are back in pristine condition and all of the snow parks have been built back up to their former glory! As well as the super pipe, border cross and all 6 ski fields being re opened so whether you are interested in freestyle skiing or exploring what the largest international ski area in the world has to offer there has been no better time.

With more snow due through out the week and a welcome temperature drop we are expecting some excellent off piste conditions as the week closes in.

The snow forecast for today and the next three days is predicting snow all through today and tomorrow with around 25cm of snowfall followed by sun on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures are moderate today with temps between 0 and -2°c however temperatures drop gradually over the next few days going as low as  -13 Thursday night.

This week in resort there is a ski rally around the Avoriaz ski area, There is also a Super camp taking place where 200 of the best teenage snowboarders from all around Europe are training in Avoriaz.
