Avoriaz Snow Report 13.02.2014

Yesterday’s weather was fantastic with no winds. Resorts are getting more busier building up to high season and can be told by the amount of moguls created on the piste. Close off-piste powder has been run down, however for the more eager and willing to go that little further some fresh powder is still to be discovered. Today’s weather is looking a bit shocking with some strong fresh winds coming in this afternoon reaching 50km/hour and a big snow fall of up to 15-25cm. Catch twenty coming up this afternoon, stay high and face the epic winds and fresh snow fall or head down and face the possibility of rain. Regardless of the conditions hope to see you all on the piste!!!
Forecast: A heavy fall of snow, heaviest during Thursday afternoon. Becoming milder with light rain (total 3.0mm) on Friday afternoon. Freeze-thaw conditions (max 5°C on Friday afternoon, min -6°C on Thursday night). Winds decreasing (near gales from the West on Thursday afternoon, light winds from the WSW by Saturday night). A dusting of new snow. Freeze-thaw conditions (max 1°C on Monday afternoon, min -5°C on Sunday night). Wind will be generally light.
