Spring skiing is often overlooked due to it being near the end of the season, but for anyone who doesn’t want the season to end yet, don’t worry, here are 6 reasons why spring skiing is completely underrated.

1) No more cold fingers and toes
Nothing detracts from a great days skiing more than not being able to feel your fingers and toes. Why sit on a chairlift becoming a human popsicle, when you could be basking in the glorious spring sunshine. Warmer weather is so much more fun!

2) Top up that goggle tan
The beautiful spring sun will help you top up that goggle tan and make all of your friends envious when you return home. it is also a great reminder of the awesome week you’ve just had!

3) Shorter lift queues
In the depths of winter, the queues seem to be never ending, whereas in the spring you will be hard pressed to find a big queue. Nothing makes the skiing experience more enjoyable than being able to breeze through to the lift and enjoy that valuable ski time!

4) Apres in the sun
Apres is always great fun, especially in bars such as, the krazy kangaroo and mooselwert (the home of apres), but in the sunshine the experience is SO much better. When the spring sunshine is out, you can take advantage of picture perfect spots, for instance; relaxing on deckchairs at the top of the rendlbahn, whilst overlooking the beautiful mountain views and watching borders and skiers try out some tricks in the rendle ski park below. This is one of the best ways to relax after a long morning of skiing.

5) Great discounts
If you’ve been wanting to replace your gear, as your goggles are holding on by a piece of thread or you just have your eye on that brand new jacket then spring time is the best time to buy. All of the ski shops have amazing deals on and they’re just waiting for you to make the most of them. A great boost to any holiday is finding a great bargain and there are plenty out there for you.

6) Exciting events
Everyone wants to make the most of the great weather in the spring time, so there are multiple events held at the majority of the resorts, such as the New Orleans meets snow festival in St Anton from the 7th to the 9th of April, where there are live concerts throughout the village streets and slopes. Or the weekly live music and BBQ at rendle beach every Friday afternoon- a great way to enjoy the springtime weather!
