Zermatt Snow Report 26/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Zermatt

There is 255cm of snow at the top of the Zermatt ski area with 65cm in resort. The last snowfall was yesterday with around 5cm of fresh snow falling.

All 360km of pistes are open with 45 of the 54 ski lifts also open

Weather is set to remain clear in Zermatt for the next three days, with the possibility of light snowfall on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Temperatures are set to rise throughout the week, going from -9 up to -4. Winds are also set to fall throughout the week.

Ski Conditions are still superb in Zermatt, with fresh snowfall contributing to an already amazing base layer. Runs remain fresh throughout the day and there is plenty of untouched snow to still be explored in the trees, and notably off the Rothorn Cable Car. Runs guests are particularly enjoying on hosting at the moment are RED 9, 4, 28 and BLUE 45, 36 and 27

Post European School Holiday season, Zermatt has returned to its more calm and tranquil self, with the pistes a little more empty and resort a little less packed. However, don’t think that the fun has ended! Be sure to check out tobogganing at Furi every Tuesday and Thursday until 7.30pm, where those of all ages can have an amazing holiday experience without the addition of skis or boards! For foodies, be sure to check out Zermatt starlit dining at the Gornergrat observatory every Thursday evening
