Zermatt Snow Report 23 Mar 2012

Zermatt, SwitzerlandSnow depth on the upper slopes of the ski area is now 150cm with 10cm in resort.

The snowfall earlier in the week has given powder hounds the opportunity to ski and board places that have been off limits for a few weeks. It has been a fabulous week and despite the sun beating hard, the pistes are holding up – everywhere on the upper slopes remain in good condition.

It is wall to wall sunshine over the next few days; make the most of the sunshine but remember the sun is strong up here so get your sunscreen on. Top temperatures of around 10 degrees.

Get yourself prepared for the Iglu Jumps and Bumps contest coming up next weekend. Big competitions, a chance to get some jump coaching, paragliding displays and barbeques. Should be fun.
