Here is the latest snow report from our team in Zermatt
There is 245cm of snow at the top of the Zermatt ski area with 35cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 20th March with around 15cm falling.
There are 100% of pistes open in the Zermatt ski area with 83% ski lifts open.
Snow is forecast for the next three days, with the heaviest arriving Monday evening with a scheduled 17cm of snowfall. Temperatures are set to remain mild, with an average temperature of -6. Wind chill is also set to remain low, only bringing temperatures down to -10.
Ski conditions in Zermatt are still superb, with constant Spring snow meaning nearly every other day is a powder day! Temperatures are low enough that runs do not become slushy later in the day, alongside the resort not being fully at capacity meaning clear open runs that every Skier and Boarder alike can enjoy! For those wanting to have a practice on some bumps, head over to Furgg, where little soft moguls have appeared, the perfect place to practice before heading over to the “big boys” at Sunegga! This Friday and Saturday sees the annual Jumps and Bumps competition at Igludorf, at Gornergrat. Friday sees the local Ski Schools competing against each other, with Saturday seeing the individual completion with a number of Olympic competitors! Be sure to take a trip on the Party train on the way back down on Saturday, with the After Party at Vernessage sure to be one of the biggest nights of the year!
