Here is the latest snow report from our team in Zermatt
There is 240cm of snow at the top of the Zermatt ski area with 80cm in resort. There was a downfall of 15cm on Wednesday with light snow on and off the next few days.
All 360km of ski runs are open here in Zermatt and there are 45 of 54 ski lifts open also.
Sunny skies combined with light snow is the trend for the next few days. Temperatures from Saturday are set to gradually increase from -25 up to around -10 by next Wednesday. Winds are set to remain, particularly up at the top of resort.
Ski conditions are currently excellent in Zermatt, with heavy snow over the past 10 days not only refreshing runs but also dumping fresh powder for everyone to have fun with. Conditions under the powder are still fantastic, meaning that skiers can be worry free about any potential rocks hiding under the powder. Runs guests are particularly enjoying on hosting at the moment are RED 69, 51,72 and BLUE 36, 14 and 7.
Sunday sees the arrival of the Swatch Freeskiers Cup. This February 10 – 15 at Zermatt, Switzerland 16 of the best freeride and freestyle skiers in the world come together for a one of a kind competition – the SWATCH SKIERS CUP! A unique head-to-head format pits riders from two teams, Team Americas lead by Cody Townsend (USA) and Team Europe lead by Kaj Zackrisson (SWE), against each other in a suspenseful points race to determine who will to hoist the SWATCH SKIERS CUP trophy.
