Zermatt Snow Report, 05 Mar 2010

ZermattThe snow base is 134cm at the top of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise with  20cm on Zermatt’s home runs.

Conditions are still excellent on the pistes. Yet again we have had a top up of new snow to keep the pistes freshened up. Off-piste is still a little variable but there are pockets of wind blown snow in areas such as Triftji where powder can be found.

Friday has started bright and sunny and it is expected to remain so to give perfect skiing conditions. Saturday and Sunday are both forecast to be cloudy with the possibility of some light snow.

Temperatures have got colder again – the highest in the village during the day only reaching -7C and the daytime temperatures at the highest lifts falling as low as -24C.  Great for keeping the snow in good condition but wrap up warm!

The ever popular Hennu Band appear at the Schneewitchen Nightclub on Sunday night for the second ‘Rock ‘n Roll Sunday’ of the season.
