Verbier Snow Report, 22 Mar 2011

VerbierSkiers and boarders are experiencing some of the best piste conditions we have had in over a month, added to which clear blue sunny skies!

There is 150cm of snow on the upper slopes in resort.

The recent snowfall has really given the piste the boost that it needed. One can enjoy carving effortlessly through corderoy slopes in the early morning and there is enough of it that it stays in good condition til the end of the day.

Skiing is great through in the other valleys which are less busy than Verbier, so worth making the trip across. Itinery runs have been reopened which provides something more challenging for those more advanced skiiers.

The weather is due to be clear and sunny right through until Friday, with fairly warm temperatures.

James Blunt is back in town staying in his own Chalet. Verbier has just enjoyed hosting the Nissan Xtreme Freeride World Finals. An amazing sight to be seen, with the worlds best freeride skiiers dropping off breathtaking cliffs.
