Verbier Snow Report 15/02/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Verbier.
There is 290cm of snow at the top of the Verbier ski area with 125cm in resort. Snow is forecast for today with around 13cm expected to fall.
All 177km of ski runs are open here in Verbier with 30 of the 39 ski lifts open too.
After nearly one meter of snow falling over the last week the conditions have been amazing with so much powder. Temperatures stayed super cold with it dropping into the minus 20s at times. The cold temperatures have kept the snow fresh so even the bumpy powder is fun to ride. Higher up the mountain the pistes are in much better condition but the temperatures have been bitterly cold also, so do pile on the layers. Itinery runs such a Tortin will be fantastic will all the powder that’s still coming as I type. I haven’t experienced any ice patches as of yet and the whole of the 4 valleys is covered in a light layer, even better news that all runs are currently open as well as lifts meaning there’s no excuse to not truly explore the area and make some fresh tracks.
The next 3 days in resort look to be excellent, with weekend going to be bright sunshine and not a cloud in sight, perfect for the weekenders. Wow – what a week in Verbier! With an unprecedented amount of snow and apres fun!
