Verbier Snow Report, 14 Apr 2010
A dump of snow hit Verbier Sunday and Monday topping up the pistes for the week ahead. This has come at a good time after the dry weather last week. The slopes as well as the town now have some nice fresh powder.
At the moment snow height is approx. 10cm at Verbier 1500. Higher, at 2200m snow depth is 138cm and right at the top of the mountain at 2950 there is approx 200cm of snow.
More snow is predicted throughout this week to keep the powder fresh.
The downfalls of snow have meant that there is now nice fresh powder for everyone to enjoy. Conditions are especially good in at the top of resort especially since the temperatures have dropped. This has come at a good time; the pistes can now recover from the recent lack of snow and high temperatures.
Verbier is set to have light snow showers throughout this week and temperatures are said to remain low. This will keep the pistes in good condition.
