Verbier Snow Report 05/03/2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Verbier
There is 260cm of snow at the top of the Verbier ski area with 105cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on 24th Feb with around 4cm falling.
There are 177km of pistes open in the Verbier ski area with 35 out of 35 ski lifts open.
Spring is most definitely in town and the sun has got his hat on as we jump from winter into springtime. The temperatures have been high throughout the ski area but with previous cold temperatures and great seasonal snow falls there has been plenty of great snow for the February/ March crowds to ski and spread into. The snow itself is still in good condition after so much snowfall at the end of February, lasting us throughout the warmer weather. All the ski area is open at the moment, and the better snow is to be found around the glacier and the off piste runs down to Tortin. Lac de Vaux is also in great condition with great quality bumps and smooth pistes in all direction. The weather in resort for the next few days looks to be powder, powder, powder with a huge snowfall expected to last till the end of the week. Temperatures have already dramatically changed since yesterday which saw 14 degrees and bright sunshine, today is much more cloudier and snow is definitely in the air!
