Traveling to the alps at the end of March, plans of skiing through fresh powder under the warm spring sun are usually deemed highly optimistic. In Val Thorens, they are a reality. Almost 20cm of fresh snow was added to our already plentiful stack of 3.5m across the weekend and, with stunning sunshine expected today and tomorrow, conditions are close to perfection. Wednesday is set to bring a golden day of skiing as not even a cloud in sight predicted and temperatures will remain at a mild -5 degrees. Thursday will bring more light snow with a few centimetres predicted. If you’re wondering where the best ski and snowboard freestyle and slalom talent is at the moment, you’ll find it at the Boardercross competition all day today at Stade de Slalom. Also commencing today, Chalet du Thorens on the piste is hosting a Techno Electro festival which will run across the rest of the week. For a different Apres experience and a little boogie with the DJ, come along anytime between 12 and 6pm.
