Val Thorens Snow Report 26/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Val Thorens

There is 335cm of snow at the top of the Val Thorens ski area with 160cm of snow in resort. The last snowfall was on Sunday with around 6cm falling.

All 150km of pistes are open in Val Thorens with all 32 ski lifts also open.

Over the next couple of days, we are anticipating a flurry of snow to fall across resort leaving us with a good 8 cm of fresh powder. Snow is beginning to falter across lower parts of the resort however, due to the temperatures of -12 still infiltrating the top areas of the mountain, there is still excellent snow to be skied. Having skied there yesterday, my top suggestions are the Cime de Caron and Orelle which still boast soft snow.

The first “six resorts sevens rugby tournament” rolls out in Place de Caron on Wednesday at 5pm on the SNOW! With the likes of Serge Betsen making an appearance as well as a string of ex-international rugby players, this is one event you can not afford to miss.
