Val Thorens Snow Report, 21 Jan 2011
Upper Slopes have a snow depth of 165cm and on lower slopes there is 85cm.
the temperature sure has dropped here in Val Thorens to an average of -16 – This is great news for the snow conditions, keeping the pistes from melting and the base to become firmer. Even with the sun shining bright yesterday morning an extra layer of clothing was needed to keep warm. As the day drew on the weather closed in and a light dusting of fresh snow came along.
The whole of the resort is open, every lift and every trail, with some of the best skiing either in Orelle or Mt De La Chambre.
