Val Thorens Snow Report 19/02/2013

Here is the latest snow report from our team in Val Thorens

There is 345cm of snow at the top of the Val Thorens ski area with 170cm of snow in resort. There is a light dusting on snow forecast for today.

All 150km of pistes are open in the Val Thorens ski area along with all 32 of the ski lifts.

What could be better than sunshine, good snow and skiing in Val Thorens? Nothing, actually. There couldn’t be a more excitable buzz in town this week with the sun set to continue shining throughout the week bringing us some of the most beautiful sights of the alps and temperatures at a maximum of -5. For the most breathtaking view, head up to the top of Cime de Caron lift, the highest point, for a 360 view of the alps. Even though the snow is lower in resort now and bouts of ice are emerging, Val Thorens has managed to maintain good snow across most pistes. Having skied down to Saint Martin through Les Menuires yesterday, I can vouch that even down the bottom the snow remains in excellent condition. Don’t miss out on taking part in the Sumo Wrestling fight which unravels in Place de Caron from 4pm today, free of charge. Giggles guaranteed!
