Does it ever stop snowing in Val Thorens? From its recent display the answer incontrovertibly appears to be, well, no. The town remains a veritable winter wonderland, so for those who took the slight gamble of booking their ski holiday in April, you are in for an absolute treat. A remarkable amount of snow has fallen for this time of year with the 3 and a half metres at the top of the mountain barely shifting all season. As I gaze out of my window it is clear that it is not looking to relent just yet, as some of the thickest snow flakes I’ve seen make their way gently to the ground. Another 5 cm is expected today, adding to the fresh 15 cm we welcomed over the past two days. And to make things even more perfect, we are promised for the first time this season plus 0 temperatures reaching +4 degrees next week. The slopestyle national championship takes place at the snowpark on Saturday between 9 and 3pm so head on down to witness some unprecedented tricks and spins.
