Val d’Isere snow report 29.01.2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Val d’Isere
There is 275cm of snow at the top of the Val d’Isere ski area with 128cm in resort. There was a light dusting of snow in resort yesterday, about 3cm.
96% of the runs are open with 44 of the 46 ski lifts open also.
After several centimeters of snow fell throughout both nights this weekend, everyone in resort has been pleasantly surprised to wake up to cloudless blue skies and beautiful powder conditions up on the mountains during the day.
Plenty of soft fresh snow off to the edge of the pistes on the Solaise side of the mountain have given much joy to skiers and snowboarders alike, particularly when tackling the powder-topped moguls down trickier runs such as Marmottons.
Guests also took advantage of the freshly-fallen white stuff, daring each other down unpisted blacks in Tignes with great success and a definite sense of achievement – in time for a celebratory lunch and sunbathe in Les Brevieres before heading back over to Val to session La Folie Douce harder than even our most seasoned chalet hosts…
The next few days are set (with the exception of a few clouds today) to give us more of the same, hellooo goggle tan!
