Val d’Isere snow report 01.01.2013
Here is the latest snow report from our team in Val D’Isere
The snow at the top of the Val D’Isere ski area is 250cm with 130cm in resort. The last snowfall came on the 28th December.
There are 45 of the 46 lifts open with 91% of the pistes open as well.
The forecast for the next three days is Sun, sun and a little bit more sun until the end of the week – marvellous!
Since our last report, Val d’Isere has been treated to nothing but bright blue skies and sunshine sparkling on snow that crunches underfoot. The much anticipated opening of Val Snow Park has finally arrived, showcasing vast amounts of aerial grabbing, spinning and flipping talent for those passing overhead on the Mont Blanc chairlift.
Owing to the popular period of the season, lifts over to Tignes have been busier than usual, giving guests the perfect opportunity to explore more tranquil areas of resort – among the tree-lined runs in Le Fornet and off to the Grand Pre and Fontaine Froid areas to the left of the Olympique bubble: beautifully sunkissed in the mornings and never too choppy by the end of the afternoon.
